When it comes to caring for patients, the Eastern Plumas nursing staff doesn’t believe that “one size fits all.” Every patient is a unique person with individual needs- that's why we strive to provide individual, personalized care. Our nurses have an average twenty to twenty-five years of experience. That’s each nurse individually, not a combined total. In other words, they know what they’re doing. And that means more than deep medical experience. It means knowing how to make a patient comfortable- how to spoil them and make them feel at home. Encouraging family participation, coordinating get togethers, and even organizing birthday parties. |

Patients get more personal attention here than they do elsewhere, and we plan on keeping it that way. Other large hospitals have significantly higher patient to staff ratios, spreading their nurses thin. Not here. We don’t have four beds to a room, either. Personal attention comes first in our view, but privacy and comfort aren’t far behind. Our Skilled Nursing Facility reflects our commitment. Nestled in the pines and designed with quality of life in mind, we’ve done our best to create a family oriented, residential atmosphere for patients and their families. |
