A Message from our CEO to our Community

March 26, 2020

In the past weeks Eastern Plumas Health Care has been taking necessary measures to ensure the safety of our employees and patients. We understand that you have many questions regarding COVID-19 and Eastern Plumas Health Care would like you to know we are ready to care for our community.

Every day members of our Hospital Incident Command System meet to assess the needs of our community and patients. In addition, we frequently meet with other local health care agencies, government agencies and Plumas County Public Health. This is a joint effort and we appreciate the cooperation and support of these agencies.

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID -19 and to protect our patients and staff from exposure, we have implemented changes throughout our organization.

We are now asking that all patients call our triage line, 530-832-6600, which is manned by a provider Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The provider will direct you on the next step and/or answer any questions you have. Walk-ins at all of our clinics are no longer allowed. Visits are being limited to essential care only.

The Dental Clinic will only be open on Monday and Tuesday for emergency needs.

Laboratory and radiology services are limited to limit the flow of visitors through the facility. Outpatient lab services have been moved to the Portola Medical Clinic for the time being. We ask that you call 530-832-6600 to speak with your EPHC provider and they will determine if your lab or radiology needs are necessary.

We know these are difficult times for everyone. We ask that you remember, the goal of the changes we make are to eliminate the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to protect our employees and community.

We will be posting updates on our website, www.ephc.org  and social media accounts.

Please remember:  Call Ahead to Stop The Spread!

Jayne O’Flanagan, Interim CEO
