Tom was instrumental in expanding local \u00a0specialty healthcare services and leaving the District in a strong position financially. \u201cIt\u2019s time for me to retire, as I will be 71 next month,\u201d he said. \u201cI have enjoyed my nine years of service at EPHC and wish everyone &#8211; employees, medical staff, and the Board, nothing but success in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">EPHC\u2019s Board of Directors will begin to search for a new CEO immediately, with Interim Human Resources Director, Jayne O&#8217;Flanagan, leading day to day operations until a permanent CEO can be found.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tom Hayes, Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Plumas Health Care announced his retirement today after nine years with the Hospital District.
