There is much to be thankful for at Eastern Plumas Health Care (EPHC) with the latest grant award of $203,151 from Providing Access and Transforming Health Capacity and Infrastructure Transition, Expansion, and Development Round 4 (PATH CITED R4), bringing in an astounding three-year funding total of over $2.8 million for the CalAIM (California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal) program. We are implementing a new policy for patients (staff and public) with outstanding medical balances over $1,000. This policy ensures financial accountability while maintaining access to essential care.
What You Need to Know
Before receiving any non-emergency outpatient services, patients with balances greater than $1,000 must complete one of the following:
- Pay 50% of the Total Balance – Make a one-time payment equal to at least half of your outstanding balance.
- Make Three Consecutive Monthly Payments – Patients on a payment plan may qualify by making three on-time monthly payments in a row.
