Dr. Kopes-Kerr will still see EPHC patients 1 Saturday/month!

February 10, 2012

We are very happy to report that Dr. Kopes Kerr will still be available to see his patients one Sat/month, beginning March 3rd! He’ll also continue his blog on this website. The following is a copy of Dr. Kopes-Kerr’s letter to his patients:

To My Patients and Friends, February 3, 2012

As I get ready to move, I just want to take a moment to say “Thank you.” Your response to my last letter has been so warm and heartfelt that I was truly touched. It was very rewarding to see as many of you as I did in my last few weeks here. Your kind words of farewell and best wishes were such a gracious gift.

Throughout my preparations to move I’d been wondering if there was any good way to stay in touch with you. In the course of conversations with CEO Tom Hayes during my last weekend here, I learned that he was starting a new initiative to expand clinic hours for patients by opening up the Portola clinic on Saturdays. This gave me an idea. I proposed that I come back once a month (or every 4 weeks), starting on March 3, and see patients for the regular Saturday hours of 9:00 pm – 1:00 pm (or as late as necessary to see the patients who wish to be seen). Tom evaluated the feasibility of doing this and then gave me an enthusiastic go ahead.

It is very important to me to stay connected in some way to this community and this place, and I think this is a very nice way to do it. I look forward to my monthly visits back here, and I hope I will be able to see and visit with so many of you who have become an important piece of my life.

So please make every effort to schedule your illnesses for a Saturday (every 4th Saturday), or failing that, be well and come in to see me anyway.

With fond best wishes,

Colin Kopes-Kerr, MD
