Patient Financial Policy Update

Effective January 1, 2026

We are implementing a new policy for patients (staff and public) with outstanding medical balances over $1,000. This policy ensures financial accountability while maintaining access to essential care.

What You Need to Know

Before receiving any non-emergency outpatient services, patients with balances greater than $1,000 must complete one of the following:

Earlier this month, CEO Doug McCoy addressed concerns about Medicaid cuts and clarified what is in the H.R.1 – the Big Beautiful Bill. Message From CEO Doug McCoy on Federal Medicaid Program Cuts

Recently there was a letter drafted by four members of the Senate expressing their concerns for the proposed spending cuts to the Federal Medicaid program as part of President Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' Act. While the spending reductions differ between the House and Senate proposals, both include over 700 billion in reduced Medicaid spending over the next 10 years.
