EPHC’s new website is now live!

March 21, 2011

EPHCs new website is now live at www.ephc.org. Informative and user friendly, the site focuses on helping potential patients find a health care provider, offering essential hospital, clinic, and skilled nursing facility information, providing contact information, explaining how we measure and upgrade the quality of our services, and much more. It’s also aimed at recruiting highly qualified doctors and staff.

In the Doc Talk Blog, Dr. Kopes-Kerr uses an interactive tool that allows you to effectively manage your own health through simple, preventative measures. You can also ask him general health questions online.

The Facebook icon at the bottom of each page will take you to our new Eastern Plumas Healthcare Facebook page. The page will be updated several times a week, offering EPHC news, events, classes, and health tips. The page offers community members a chance to make comments and suggestions, or ask general hospital questions.

The website news feed also will be updated weekly. Here, you will find concise, newsworthy stories and press releases regarding items of interest to our community, such as the current offer in Indian Valley for a free chiropractic evaluation.

The many photographs on the site are of EPHC staff doing what they do best—caring for our community. Most of the photos have also been taken by our talented employees. Where noted, members of the community have graciously allowed us to use their photos. The opening photo in our Homepage slideshow was taken by Mimi Escher. The second slideshow photo, of Family Nurse Practitioner, Chris Spencer, and Camilla, (Director of Nursing, Mark Schweyer’s daughter), was taken by Tiffany Williams, Administrative Assistant to the CEO. She also took the dynamic picture of the Care Flight helicopter landing in the snow. Plumas Pines Golf Course provided the slide show’s golf picture and Graeagle Land and Water allowed us to use a great shot of Graeagle’s Mill Pond for our Careers/Location page.

Chief Executive Officer Tom Hayes also intends the site to be a vital recruitment tool. Because it’s difficult for small, rural hospitals to recruit and retain quality physicians, the Careers section explains the virtues of living and working in our county. It includes location photos and links to area websites, and Feather Publishing’s Plumas County News.
